2018 ProAm Results – Day 1

Day 1 of the Lake Ontario Pro-Am Salmon Team Tournament out of Niagara County is in the history books. Leader after the first day in the Professional Division is Capt. Rich Hajecki with Yankee Troller, weighing in a 12-fish limit that scored 236.80 points based on 10 points per fish and a point per pound. Second place, less than 2 points behind is Capt. Tom Pearse and the Summer School squad with 234.90 points. Third place is Capt. Pete Alex and the Vision Quest crew with a score of 220.40 points. Fourth place is Capt. Matt Yablonsky’s Wet Net team with 213.32 points. Fifth place is Finders Keepers led by Tim Thomas with 211.47 points. Big fish for the pros was an 18.34 pound king weighed in by the Summer School team.
In the Amateur Open Division, James Spinelli and the Hound Dog team set the pace with a three fish score of 79.87 points, including the big fish for the division, a 22-pound king. Second place was Mother Moose with a score of 74.32 points, followed by Balls Deep 2 with 65.95 points and Mean Machine with 63.86 points.
The tournament continues out of Wilson and Olcott tomorrow, with weigh in to be set up by 1:30 p.m. in Krull Park.
